TalkFlare is a very simple app, created to solve a very different need. But to explain that need, I need to explain the story of the idea.

The initial idea and name came from a video created by Tom Scott & Matt Gray, in which Tom mentions the idea of "Pub Flares" - this idea sat in my head for a while, and nothing happened with it, until I noticed something.

I have a number of friends who struggle to start conversation, or don't believe they have worth to do so. This can often lead to issues with people not telling others when they need help, leading to deprived mental health. And that. Is bad.

So at some point, when I was consoling someone, the idea for TalkFlare popped straight into my head. I proceeded to multi-task helping someone while scribbling the idea down.

And now, a year and a few months after the idea formed, a lot of failed prototypes, and a lot of learning experiences later, TalkFlare is here to show for it. A button, to tell people you want to talk. Bit simple.
